Tap in for all the latest happenings of me and my gang!

We had a world wind February, March, and April!

All 3 months were so busy and flew by so fast that I didn’t even have time to document them until now.

Since we all have busy schedules, I’ll make this post a quick rundown of what’s been going on.

In February, Robert and I attended a Valentine’s Day Marriage Ministry event where we got to stay overnight at a hotel and have a kid-free weekend. Fashion break: Ya girl wore a two-toned red suit from the NY&Co Gabriel Union Collection. I had my tailor adjust the jacket for a better fit and also put some different buttons on it to make it more dressy. I beat my face for the occasion and my beautician had my hair on point! I haven’t felt that beautiful in a long time – like before the pandemic!

In March, we took the whole crew (including the big kids) to the rodeo carnival. We ate like calories don’t matter cause uh they don’t at the carnival. I took not one pic of all of us together! I got to do better!!

A couple of weeks after our family day at the rodeo, we went back to Duke’s school for his first Houston livestock show and rodeo school field trip. Really it was his first field trip period! He also got to experience his first Go Texan Day at school at the end of February. Check out my IG post to see my little cowboy.

Robert and I commemorated 3 years of marriage in March as well. We celebrated with dinner at The Toasted Coconut, a restaurant that I had heard a lot about but had never been to. It’s very much an island vibe and the drinks are very good! It was like an anniversary trip without the airfare and the need to pack!

March was also spring break (Duke was out of school for 3 days) so he and I spent a couple of those days at my parent’s house for a local getaway since my husband was out of town. We got to check a few things off of our to-do list too. Namely buying a new rug for the kitchen which was one of our Q1 goals. I choose this pretty little number from At Home. It’s a beautiful accent to our kitchen.

I also took a work trip in March to Kansas City Missouri. While there, I got to meet our staff in our KC office, attend the NSBE conference which was an awesome experience, and got to check out the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum and American Jazz Museum. I wish I had taken more pictures to capture the essence of the museums but true to form I forgot! Hey, at least I am consistent!

I need to hire a personal photographer cause I am the worst at picture taking!

In April we celebrated Easter by dying Easter eggs and attending church service. Duke also had his picture taken with the Easter bunny for the first time at his school. He and I did a mini photoshoot after Sunday’s church service with the sole purpose of sending my mom some pics of him in his Easter outfit. She was not going to let me get by without taking any pictures that day!!

Anyway, that’s a wrap for February, March, and April. Looking forward to May and all the wonderful things it will bring!

Let me know what you think of this post and what you’ve been up to in the comments.

Until next time,

XoXo,
